Will's Perseverance!
HUGE Parental Bragging Moment: Will spent the last 13 hours reading all around Amsterdam. He was given the book, Merci Suaraz Changes Gears by Meg Medina, last Saturday, at an event at the American Library in Paris, and told he needed to read it by this Saturday. That was only 7 days to read a 355 page book. For Will, it was only 5 days to read a 355 page book, because he didn't start until Monday. He started today needing to read 195 pages by tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. He read every opportunity he got. This is most remarkable for Will because he is NOT an avid fiction reader, especially a book about being a sixth grade girl! But he has persevered and finished it all in one day! I am beyond proud of his perseverance! Go Will!
Ah, Will! Somehow it seems likely that he would find a book about a girl appealing. It started in the hospital with making eyes at the pretty nurses!
ReplyDeleteProud of his perseverance and focus! I find it hard to focus in noisy public places.
